Crosslinked Polyethylene Foam
Crosslinked polyethylene foam is a durable closed cell foam that has been chemically cross linked, adding extra capabilities not normally present in polyethylene foam. Crosslinked polyethylene is smooth, making it useful for padding Class A surfaces and other delicate items. It’s generally used in applications that require thicker foam, such as industrial gaskets, medical device packaging and building construction.
Crosslinked polyethylene foam can be cut using water jets, laminated, CNC routed, thermoformed and customized using other fabrication methods. This allows the foam to be easily shaped and provide ample cushioning, all while maintaining a smooth and aesthetic feel.
