Expanded polystyrene foam is a lightweight and rigid, closed cell foam that has high thermal insulation capabilities on top of being very cost effective. It is commonly used as a cushion in transport packaging because of its strength, thermal insulation properties and low weight.
Hot wires are used during fabrication to shape expanded polystyrene foam, which helps keeps production and fabricating costs low. This foam can be shaped to fit any packaging and can also be custom made to fit many other applications.
